ESI
ETC Telecom signed on as an ESI Reseller in 1999. Since then, The ESI Communications Server has become ETC’s main product line. It has many options that can be added as your company grows. The basic system has a choice of 5 different feature phones that will suit the vast majority of businesses. A highly flexible voicemail and automated attendant are standard on all systems.
ETC is a “gold level” member of ESI’s Quality Assurance program and has maintained its “gold” level standing since the program’s inception in 2004. By dealing directly with the manufacturer, ETC has overnight access to replacement parts and back orders are unheard of.
The ESI Communications Server is a “Hybrid” system, which means that it can be configured as a digital telephone system- using traditional telephone wiring, as an IP communications system- leveraging your computer network infrastructure, or any combination of the two. Configured as an IP system, the ESI Comm Server can make use of the Internet to provide “teleworkers” with a full time connection to the main office, with their phone functioning exactly the same as the phones in the local office. Multiple Comm Servers can be networked together to allow companies to share resources between their locations.
ESI Mobile Messaging allows voicemail users to receive their voice messages and recordings as e-mail attachments which can be stored and forwarded as any e-mail message would. This allows important messages or recordings to be stored indefinitely. ESI Mobile Messaging uses a .WAV file format that ensures compatibility with all computer platforms.
ESI Presence Management is a unique RFID-based solution to keep track of employees and control building entrances and exits. The ESI Presence Management reader includes a door phone and can scan RFID cards or ‘Key fobs’ which are issued to users. Scanning a card or key fob can open an electric strike-equipped door, and notify the Comm Server of the user’s status (on or off-premises) .
Other system users, especially the receptionist, can see at a glance the status of the user. Calls can follow the user as they scan out of the building until a specified “quiet time” at which point the caller will be transferred to the user’s voicemail only.
ESI Media Management uses the capability of the Comm Server to provide the user with the following:
- Audio call logs: automatic recordings of incoming and outgoing calls. Lines or extensions to be monitored can be selected by the administrator, and recordings can be archived to a central location on the network.
- System call activity: records include time, date and duration of call , number dialled, caller ID if available. Reports can be created within the ESI Media Management application.
- Video recordings: if your system is equipped with video cameras, you can use ESI Media Manager to review captured footage.
- Building Access records: if your system is equipped with ESI Presence Management, you can view reports of who entered (or tried to enter) your facility and its protected areas.
